Notes from the Bludhouse
Art is never finished. It is abandoned.
This is something I learned back in my days as an art major and something I've heard Mr. George Lucas quote right before rejecting the notion of ever actually finishing something ever.
And I get his mentality because there's lots of old projects that I'd love to take another crack at now that I'm older and wiser. The problem is that I'm probably not as wise as I am old. Sometimes, it's the stuff you hate that other people love about your work. This is definitely the case for Star Wars and other major movies that have gotten "updates" by their creators.
So, in closing: Hollywood dudes: abandon your old work. If you have an idea that you weren't able to use or a dance number that you really want to incorporate, do it with new films that we don't have to care about.
